Overall, I like the armory but the knife dividers in the drawer were broken and I had to fix them for the cost, it shouldn't arrive in that condition being the shipping and packaging were very good. I would recommend it to people like me that have an overload of knives.

I ordered this knife case for my sons birthday, and he absolutely loves it. However the most important part of this review is the great customer service I received from Holme and Hadfield. My initial order was lost by the shipping company, so I contacted Holme and Hadfield and initially spoke with Kelly in customer service. Then I received and email from Paul Hadfield who wanted to let me know they had shipped out another case and I would receive it before my sons birthday. There’s not a lot of companies these days that the owner gets back to you and ensures they will take care of the problem. So A+ to Holme and Hadfield!

Wonderful experience from the anticipation of its availability to unboxing. The packaging it comes in is beautiful making unboxing it an experience unto itself. The display itself is beautiful as well.
Maybe version 2 could contain 12 display spaces in three rows (5, 4, and 3 respectively which would allow for a larger drawer as well and possibly bigger slots within said drawer)?
I would, and I'm contemplating purchasing a second Armory.

First of all the packaging of this product was a gift itself. Wow, super classy and do fun to unbox. Second, the case is super solid, heavy wood (I got the walnut). Displays my knives perfectly with room to spare on felted (?) compartments in the drawer. 2 thumbs up! So super happy I got this.

So I just received my 2 Walnut ARMORY units, and I got to tell you guys that Holme & Hadfield hit it out of the park! Although I had an excellent unboxing experience, you can usually tell if the product is of excellent quality when the packaging is perfect! From the quality of the packaging to the quality of the product is ALL amazing! So if you are on the fence about buying one or more, I say go for it, and you won’t regret it!

If I could give more stars i would, arrived in superb packaging. The thoughtfulness behind it is unreal, now to the actual Armory Case. It’s a tank! This display case definitely got a wow from me. The quality of the materials with perfect scratch-free arrival in the overdone gift box with excellent protection for the entire display unit. The drawers slide with ease and have a felt lining on all the drawer bottoms to keep stuff from sliding around. I ordered the black version and this was the first time I've had an unboxing experience like this. Very well done with amazing presentation.I store my EDC knives in the main drawer and the fancy collector pieces on top with some others that go into monthly rotation. While using this regularly, I did notice some wear on the drawer slides, but it still opened and closed smoothly. I did end up adding a little bit of beeswax to lubricate the wooden sliding surfaces. Beautiful addition that is made from real wood and furniture quality.Display those knives proudly with this unit!

I have a collection of pocket knives that grows every month or two. I needed a place to put them instead of a bowl by my door since Ive started buying nicer and more expensive blades.This case now sits on my dresser and my knives arent things I throw in my pocket now as I leave the house. Theyre more part of my daily outfit.Its weird that a case can do that, but its perceived value and glamor. Also, probably, the fact that it sets right where I get dressed.

My husband has been collecting pocket knives most of his life, but has never kept them anywhere except a drawer or on top of the night stand or dresser when they weren't in his pocket. So finding just the right one can be a challenge, plus it was more a jumble than a collection. I thought he would probably like this, and it's quite a hit. It's beautiful, very well made, substantial, and very impressive. My husband was inspired to shine all of his knives, and now has them beautifully displayed. They're also more accessible, in that he can find each of them easily, and choose among them according to anticipated need.This arrived quintuple boxed: the Amazon shipping box, the manufacturer's more substantial shipping box, specially built corners to hold the really substantial manufacturer's inner box well away from the sides (and corners), the presentation box, and a special built styrofoam box inside that. I've never seen anything like it for protection, and the display case arrived in pristine condition.Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

I've been collecting knives for years and for years I've been searching for a way to display my collection so I can appreciate looking at them when I'm not using actually using them. I've even designed a few display cases myself - and all involved a plexiglass cover that I just couldn't figure out how to fabricate myself. I also wanted a felt lined drawer.This display case feels like someone at Holme & Hatfield ventured into my brain and turned my ideal design ideas into reality. This case is simply remarkable. Amazing!As another reviewer so eloquently stated, this is not just a display case - it's a piece of furniture. Really beautiful to look at it by itself, it reflects high quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. There is ample room to display and/or store about 2 dozen pocket knives.If you're thinking of getting this for someone as a gift, rest assured it is one of the most elegantly packaged (and carefully protected) products I've ever seen. (The last time I saw packing even close to this nice was when my wife purchased a large crystal serving bowl from a world-renowned crystal house - and that bowl cost several times what this beautiful case costs.)I can't say enough good things about this handsome and highly functional product. Most highly recommended!

The media could not be loaded. Such an amazingly well built and presented knife display case. It arrived packaged so carefully I thought I was receiving a Faberge Egg or something. It's 2 tiered with 4 slots in back and 3 in front with a clear cover to display your favorite pocket knives. Looks awesome, works perfectly, even has a felt lined drawer with individual slots so you can store more knives. This is absolutely beautiful and it displays my favorite pocket knives proudly since I'm a big time collector of EDC knives. This display isn't meant for large fixed blades or anything really large, this is a pocketknife/buckknife/folding knife display case. There's nothing left for me to say because it's just all praise, so I'll just so if you have a collection of pocket knives you want to display like a BOSS, get this case!

I admit it looked good online, but sometimes things don't present themselves the same way in person. This was certainly the exception. Anyone looking for an awesome case to present their knife collection, this is the case to buy!

Being a collector of pocket knifes I've been looking for a display case for a while now.I wasn't sure what I had gotten shipped to me, because the amount of weight that this display case Waze is phenomenal. Normally I wouldn't be terribly happy about something weighing a lot but when it comes to this display case I am very glad that it does.It is very obvious once you take this out of the box the amount of care that was put into making this item not only giftable but sturdy and a great detail put into its making.The woodworking on this is quite remarkable and the joinery is nearly invisible. The drawer is very smooth to open and the fabric on the inside is soft to the touch. It holds quite a good number of pocket knives not only on the top but the added drawer is a great addition as well.Do you like that the top display area is not glass and is a plastic acrylic, so I don't have to worry about anybody knocking into it and it breaking easily.Now for this price point it is a little on the higher end, but you definitely get what you pay for. This is exceptional value for money and well worth every cent of the price.I highly recommend this for any person that collects pocket knives.

I love this thing. I have the smaller Knife deck, and the Armory. Both are absolutely the best way to display and store your pocket knives. The craftsmanship, the materials, fit and finish, all amazing! An absolute steal for the price. I cannot recommend Holme and Hadfield products enough, or say enough good things about there products! Truly exceptional products.

The unit came in bubble wrap, in a box, and the box was sealed with cellophane wrap.Once you open the box, you have a very nice 'gift box' the actual case comes in.The quality of the case and the drawer is top notch.Instead of having my wife's collector knifes in boxes tucked away, we can now display them in a case worthy of her knives. Her knives are only a few hundred dollars each, but this case could easily be used to display $1,500 knives.There is one problem with this case, it has spaces for seven 5.75" knives on top, and twelve more 5" spaces in the drawer, and my wife does not have THAT many knives, so now she wants to get more knives!

If you’re buying this display box, you know you are a collector. If you are a collector, you know you don’t want your collection in a case in the closet, you want to be able to show your friends. The armory is the perfect way to show the world your favorite pieces. I love this display case. I’ve had several other Holme and Hadfield products and this one may just be my favorite. I love the built-in felt lining in the drawer and the individual knife “slots” are perfect. That paired with the well though out top display area make this display the best yet!
